dance, sweet, dance / 2023

As part of a performance by Andrew Liddel at St Mary's Church, 25th November. dance, sweet, dance is based on a Guernsey and Jersey folk song, La Bébée, captured by Peter Kennedy during his visits to the islands in the 1950s and 1960s. The folk song is not heard in its full entirety until the end of the work. The original dance is a handkerchief dance.
